Icarus Ascending

Often called the Angel Nebula, the framing and orientation I chose for the reflection nebula NGC 2170 in the constellation Monoceros reminds me of the ancient Greek myth of Icarus. With alot of imagination, one can almost see Icarus with his wings soaring up into the sky, faint clouds streaming behind him in his wake...as well as the melting wax holding his wings together.
Whilst the Angel nebula itself is reasonably bright, the surrounding dark nebule and dust is quite dim and requires a fair bit of effort to bring out. I diverted 5 nights to this effort. However, there were some very windy nights and I lost over two-thirds of my light frames on one night, and one-third on others. In then end I got about 16 hours worth of useable data. Details below.
