Night 2016 - IMG_8603

SKU:
"Venus Falling"

Venus is falling towards the horizon, setting over the dunes near Cervantes, Western Australia. The bright stars around Antares and Ophiuchi precede the fantastic galactic core. Probably the last time the year I'll get a chance to image the milkyway before the summer nights arrive - bring on Orion, its telescope season!

This image is a crop of a large mosaic of 20 shots taken through my Canon 50mm f/1.2 prime lens using a standard Canon EOS6D DSLR. All shots were at ISO3200 for 30sec each.Photoshop.
