"Waiting for the Core"
Here upon the dry salt bed of Lake Brown / Campion we wait for the Milky Way core to rise above the horizon. Whilst waiting for the core to rise I did this "test" scene to make sure all my settings were in place. My test subject, Richard, stands next to his camera in anticipation.
This scene was shot witha Canon EOS6d (modified) and a Canon 50mm f/1.2 lens. All camera and lens settings were kept the same for all panels. An iOptron tracking mount was used for the sky and turned off for the foreground panels. Stitching in PTGui, noise reduction, saturation and some brightness / contrast adjustment in Photoshop. Details below.
